Q: What is The HUB?
A: The HUB is Techman's latest product. It is a server-based program
which facilitates management of all aspects of the construction,
operation an refit of a modern super-yacht. Based on Microsoft's
SharePoint technology, access to the product is via any browser,
which means that you can use it whether you have a PC, Mac, Linux or
any other operating system.
Q: Is the Hub a solution
for sail or power?
A: Both! Being a highly flexible, user-definable program, Techman
can meet the challenges of all builds with a few changes to basic
chapter and equipment categories.
Q: What are the size
limits for boats that can use the Hub?
A: Theoretically none, but it would be overkill on a club-racing
dinghy, and there would be better tools to deal with the scale of an
ocean liner. Techman can be an aid to the owner/skipper of a
semi-custom 70 foot sailboat, or it can be a powerful tool to the
captain of a mega yacht running several departments.
Q: Who can buy the Hub?
A: Our customers include shipyards, owner's reps, captains,
designers, consultants and yacht management companies. We can
provide semi-custom solutions with your own look-and-feel so that
you can give the product your own corporate look.
Q: Can the Hub handle more than one
boat?
A: Yes! In fact we can create a semi-custom solution for you
with a top-level "Fleet" site, for all fleet related documents, as
well as a subsite for each vessel. Perfect for shipyards and yacht
mangers!
