Our products are the software modules which have been tailored to the yachting industry during ten years of development and industry feedback.
Alone, these modules are like a very well designed but empty truck - they need content. And, once loaded, you might need a little training to drive them correctly.
Our services are therefore built around helping project teams and yacht crews to add, edit and improve the content, with the least possible pain!
We achieve this by applying our long experience and by using in-house tools to quickly and accurately piece together the project's or vessel's information in a structured proven way.
In Build
In Build can handle new builds or refits, and was derived from the tradition that the Specification is the Core Document, which governs the scope, quality and detail of the project.
In Build contains a combination of modules to help project teams to keep your documentation centralised, up to date and shared within a common set of screens.
The key module is the Specification, where the team can evolve and track the Spec, Contract, Safety Management system and all related information.
In-Commission
For vessels between 30m and 130 metres in length, our on-board modules are amongst the most comprehensive and relevant around.
They save time in all departments, keeping you organised and providing the most proficient way to help you meet your obligations to the captain, the owner and the authorities.
Not only are these modules tailored for the various departments' demands, but they also contain advanced features that keep the system tight, consistent and error-free. We pride ourselves on the degree of validation that is included as standard, to minimise costly mistakes. We also offer regular health checks, to make your system run as smoothly as possible.
Data Work
Accurate, well-structured content is vital to success! There are teams who have the unique combination of a) the time, b) the experience and the c) motivation to build a great set of information … but they are rare!
By selecting Techman to build the information set, you are guaranteed that it is done accurately, to proven standards, and without having to go through the learning curve yourselves!

Technical Manuals
Technical Manuals is where we started.
With our backgrounds in naval architecture, engineering, project management and yachting, we have the staff and a small group of associates who can accurately establish the Owner's Manual.
From the days where shipyards provided a cardboard box of makers manuals, we have brought yacht Technical Manuals to a new level of quality and usefulness.
Our flexible approach means we can work independently, or alongside the shipyard. We even assist you to define the scope for the Technical Manuals when you write the Specification.
Where required, we can also produce a full set of System Descriptions and Operations Guides, to ensure the vessel is properly documented throughout its life.
Training
None of the above would be complete without the essential training that we bring to your project. We help you optimise the use of the program, and help your peripheral skills within your regular Windows and Office environments.
The Hub
Over the last decade, the Internet has made it easier for widely scattered international projects to remain connected.
More recently, broadband connections have provided the means to offer a broader set of software products to your projects.
During this evolvution, Techman has moved in step with conventional wisdom, which believes that centralisation is good. Centralisation governs more than just a single set of documentation; it alos covers how we communicate.
The side-effects of e-mail proliferation affect us all - multiple versions of the same files, copied to all and sundry, with little control of versioning or date-stamping. Discussions over a series of e-mails are guaranteed to become time-consuming muddled affairs.
